The history of the Caveau

Son of a baker, my parents instilled in me, from a very young age, the values of commerce and service.

As they were themselves great lovers of good wines, they also introduced me to the pleasures of tasting and discovering the greatest terroirs.

In love with Burgundy, it is quite naturally that with Isabelle, my wife, we decided to settle in Santenay in 2006.

In 10 years, we have been able to develop close ties with local producers, especially in Santenay.

After joining the board of the Confrérie des Grumeurs de Santenay, the takeover of the Caveau de Santenay, in 2016, seemed to be an obvious choice!

I welcome you at 22, place du jet d’eau in Santenay (21590) 7 days a week during the summer and closed on Sunday afternoons in winter.

The Caveau has a partnership with the producers of the village to offer you their wines at the same price as at the domain.

We also offer a selection of other Burgundy appellations as well as wines from different French and foreign regions.

For me, wine is above all pleasure: don’t hesitate to give me your tastes and details about what you are looking for or expecting from a wine.

But wine is also about sharing: sharing with friends, around a good meal or simply sharing a good bottle.

In any case, I will be happy to share my passion with you and to guide you according to your tastes and expectations.

Concerning the shipping costs, contrary to many, I made the choice to charge them, but to leave the bottles at the same price as in the store: you can compare!

We are therefore happy and proud to be able to offer you a wide range of wines from Burgundy and elsewhere.
